It’s a common trope in science-fiction: the artificial intelligence that gains sentience.  Like all good sci-fi, it can be used to tell a rip-roaring adventure while simultaneously saying things about humanity, individual thought, and free will.  Fascinating stuff all around, and in the right hands, it can lead to some great stories.

Bryan Hill certainly knows his way around a good story, and the first four issues of his Aphrodite V are getting collected in trade format soon.  It’s a series that explores those very notions-- free will and individuality, especially-- so be sure to pick it up when it drops this December.  Check out the details below.
