Dark Horse announce a slate of "Incredibles 2" tie-in comics
Few films in the 21st Century have warranted a sequel as much as Brad Bird's near-perfect The Incredibles, yet after 14 years we're finally getting one this summer. To capitalize on the highly-anticipated film, Dark Horse have announced two brand new tie-in comics that will expand on the world and mythology of the Parr family.
The first will be an original graphic novel titled Disney•Pixar’s Incredibles 2: Heroes at Home. Written by Liz Marsham and illustrated by Nicoletta Baldari, the graphic novel will see Violet and Dash Parr as they take care of their little brother, do chores around the house, and no doubt engage in some superpowered shenanigans.
That OGN will be joined by Disney•Pixar’s Incredibles 2: Crisis in Mid-Life! & Other Stories, a three-issue miniseries from writers Christos Gage and Landry Q. Walker and artists Gurihiru, J.Bone, Andrea Greppi, and Roberta Zanotta. It will have a fairly ambitious storytelling structure, following Bob's exploits as a superhero along with his life as a parent.
Head on over to the exclusive report at Entertainment Weekly for more details. Incredibles 2 will hit theaters on June 15, and both comic series will hit shops and digital retailers sometime later this year.
