Cosmic Ghost Rider miniseries from Donny Cates and Dylan Burnett coming this July

One of the most buzzed about new characters in Marvel Comics has been Cosmic Ghost Rider.  While his identity was initially a mystery, it was revealed in Thanos #15 that the new cosmic herald is, in fact, Frank Castle.  That's right, the Punisher himself gets to ride around the cosmos on a sweet interstellar bike all while his head is on fire.

That is absolutely amazing and insane.

It also adds credence to my theory that adding "...in space" to anything makes it at least 37% more radical.  "The Punisher... in space!"  See?

Well, Marvel have just announced that Cosmic Ghost Rider will get his own miniseries this summer, from writer Donny Cates and artist Dylan Burnett.  Head on over to the Marvel blog for a better look at Geoff Shaw's cover for the first issue of the five-part miniseries, as well as a few words from Donny Cates himself.

Cosmic Ghost Rider will hit comic shops and digital retailers on July 4.
