DC Comics announce new DC Universe service

For the past year or so, DC Comics have slowly been releasing details about their upcoming streaming service.  While details are generally scarce, we do know that platform-exclusive series like Titans and Young Justice: Outsiders are in the works, along with a proposed Harley Quinn animated series.  Today, the DC Comics Twitter account shared a link to a service they're calling DC Universe, as well as a new Twitter handle for the service: @TheDCUniverse.  The announcement contains a short blurb about the service, promo images for the aforementioned shows, and an option to sign up for email updates.  We'll keep you posted on any updates we hear, of course, and be sure to sign up for info from DC directly.

UPDATE: Oh, and now it's being reported that James Wan is developing a Swamp Thing series for the platform.  Swamp Thing, as we all know, rules, so sign me up yesterday.

The series logline: When CDC researcher Abby Arcane returns to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus, she develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland — only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby will discover that the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous — and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all.
