Robin and Superboy return in “Adventures of the Super Sons” this August

If you’re like me, you love Super Sons.  The DC Comics series, starring Damian “Robin” Wayne and Jonathan “Superboy” Kent, has been an endlessly charming series since its inception, with the two boys becoming better friends and heroes with each passing month.

If you’re also like me, you were bummed to find out that the series would come to an end with its sixteenth issue, which is out May 30.  Besides a one-shot special with Dynomutt (also due next Wednesday) and hints of a presence in the upcoming DC Ink/Zoom lines, the future of the junior Dynamic Duo has been left in doubt.

Until now, that is.  Glad that didn’t take long.

Yes, the rumors are true: the Super Sons will fly once again with the launch of Adventures of the Super Sons, due this August.   Spearheaded by writer Peter J. Tomasi and artists Carlo Barberi and Art Thibert, the new series will pick up after the conclusion of Super Sons and promises to send the boys on an intergalactic trip through various DC Comics genres.  Romance comics?  Westerns?  Sign.  Me.  Up.

Head over to Paste for more details, and celebrate with us.  Adventures of the Super Sons #1 will hit comic shops and digital retailers on August 1.
