Rob Liefeld introduces The Pouch in “Bloodstrike Brutalists”

It’s real, guys.  It’s totally real.

Rob Liefeld is known for quite a few things: huge swords, huger guns, and pouches.  So, so many pouches, guys.

Through various social media outlets over the past few months, Liefeld has been posting about a character named “the Pouch.”  It’s understandable to think that this was a joke character, given Liefeld’s good-natured self-deprecation and the fact that the character was just completely, amazingly ridiculous.  I mean, he’s a guy named “the Pouch,” he is made of pouches, and he wields a gun (also made of pouches) that shoots pouches.  Some things are just so pure in their perfection.

Well, the Pouch is totally real, and he will make his debut in Bloodstrike #23.  What a world.

ROB LIEFELD VARIANT INTRODUCES NEW CHARACTER—THE POUCH—TO HIGHLY ANTICIPATED BLOODSTRIKE BRUTALISTS
PORTLAND, OR, 05/30/2018 — Image Comics is pleased to reveal a very special Rob Liefeld variant cover to the #23 issue of Liefeld’s highly anticipated BLOODSTRIKE BRUTALISTS arc featuring story and artwork by Michel Fiffe (COPRA). This variant cover introduces an all-new character—The Pouch!

"Since the moment I introduced The Pouch on my social media, the fans have exploded with support and enthusiasm!" said Liefeld. "The truest definition of 'because you demanded it!' The Pouch comes to life on the cover and in an interior story included in Bloodstrike Brutalists 2!”

In BRUTALISTS Part Two, bureaucratic overlords with morbid agendas need love, too. What lengths will they go to? A string of gruesome murders, a deadly disease, and a dark conspiracy; for Bloodstrike, that’s a Tuesday.

Bloostrike #23 will hit comic shops and digital retailers on June 27.
