DC announce release dates and new details for Black Label imprint
Since the full announcement of their Black Label imprint, DC Comics have been relatively silent regarding the new initiative. There have been a few details here and there, but nothing much in the way of announcements. That changes today, however, as DC have revealed several release dates and other details regarding their Black Label titles.
Regarding previously announced titles, Batman: Damned will be a three issue, bi-monthly series beginning this September, Frank Miller and John Romita, Jr.'s Superman: Year One will be a three issue, bi-monthly series launching this November, and John Ridley's The Other History of the DC Universe will be a three issue monthly series that begins this December.
The first title to bear the Black Label imprint, however, will be the graphic novel collection of Sean Gordon Murphy's smash hit Batman: White Knight. Collecting the entire eight issue run of the series, the trade will hit comic shops on October 9.
In addition to White Knight, other previously published titles will receive reprints under the Black Label banner, including Batman: Year One, The Dark Knight III: The Master Race, Kingdom Come, and, curiously, All-Star Superman and DC: The New Frontier.
