Marvel announce massive "Conan the Barbarian" omnibus
Since his introduction in 1932, Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian has come to be one of the most recognizable figures of the pulp hero era. With countless stories told across a variety of mediums, Howard's Cimmerian adventurer has served as inspiration to no end of storytellers and their own creations.
From 1970 to 1993, Marvel Comics had an incredibly successful run of Conan the Barbarian comics, spanning 275 issues and 12 annuals. Today, Marvel have announced an omnibus collection of the series, the first volume of which will be available early next year. Featuring stories from writers Roy Thomas, Barry Windsor-Smith, John Jakes, Michal Moorcock, and James Cawthorn, along with art by Barry Windsor-Smith, Gil Kane, and John Buscema, along with a cover from John Cassaday, the omnibus collects over 40 issues of the Marvel series.
