Marvel goes mobile with “MARVEL Battle Lines” card game, with 28 titles getting themed variant covers this October

If you’re of a certain age, then you probably remember a big push for trading cards in the mid-90s.  There were countless trading card lines, sometimes with character stats, other times for use in gaming, and still others just an excuse to showcase some cool art.  You could pick them up at the drug store or gas station, and “limited edition” and “collectible” cards were often bagged with magazines like Wizard and InQuest Gamer.

The trading card fad lives on today, though it’s more often seen in mobile gaming.  Marvel is no exception to this, as they’ve recently announced MARVEL Battle Lines, a card battling game for mobile devices.  To capitalize on the launch of the game, Marvel will ship a ton of variant covers this October, so check out the details and the massive gallery below.
