Find Sanctuary in new “Heroes in Crisis” variant covers
Nobody is immune to anxiety. Even the strongest of us, when faced with trying times, are capable of worry, fear, and becoming anxious. Super heroes are no exception.
That’s the premise behind the upcoming series Heroes in Crisis, which takes a look at the effect that trauma can have on even the mightiest of heroes. From writer Tom King and artists Clay Mann and Mitch Gerads, the miniseries will shine a light on Sanctuary, a trauma center for heroes, villains, and other super powered characters, as a murder committed on the grounds is investigated.
While we’re still about a month out from the launch of the series, DC Comics have revealed some new variant covers from the first issue. J.G. Jones, Mark Brooks, and Francesco Mattina have each contributed a variant, and as a bonus, Ryan Sook will be illustrating a type of “case file” variant for each issue of the series. Check out the variants for the first issue below, and head on over to the DC Blog for an interview with Ryan Sook about his process.
Heroes in Crisis will hit comic shops and digital retailers on September 26.
