Artist Marie Severin has died

It’s been reported that Marie Severin-- long-time and legendary penciler, inker, and colorist-- has died.

Severin is best known for her work at Marvel, particularly on titles like Iron Man, Daredevil, and Conan the Barbarian.  She co-created (along with Archie Goodwin) the Jessica Drew Spider-Woman, including designing her classic red and yellow costume, and worked on licensed comics such as Fraggle Rock and Muppet Babies.  Her accolades include an Inkpot Award and induction into the Will Eisner Comics Hall of Fame.

She was 89.
