Head back in time with Archie and the gang in a sneak preview of "Archie 1941" #1
I'd say that Archie comics have had a comeback in the past few years, but they never really left, did they? Regardless, they have had a huge resurgence, as the standard digests remain as popular as ever, high-concept comic series like Jughead: The Hunger and Afterlife with Archie take the characters in fresh (and terrifying) directions, and even the television series Riverdale has proven itself as a pop culture staple. So Archie and the gang are here, and they're here to stay.
For my money, the most anticipated Archie book of the year is Archie 1941, which transports the gang to pre-World War II America. With an amazing creative team that includes Mark Waid, Brian Augustyn, and Peter Krause, the five-part miniseries debuts this week, and Archie Comics have released a sneak preview and a trailer for the series. Check it out below.
