Keith Giffen returns to Image Comics with “Auntie Agatha’s Home for Wayward Rabbits”
It’s a classic formula if there ever was one: a group of plucky underdogs band together against a faceless corporation so that The Man can’t take over their favorite haunt and build a parking lot/casino/rival burger joint in its place. Pretty much every other kid’s movie in the Nineties followed this basic plot, and if anyone can give it a shot in the arm it’s Keith Giffen.
Teaming up with Benjamin Roman, the duo will collaborate on Auntie Agatha’s Home for Wayward Rabbits, an upcoming miniseries for Image Comics. That name is amazing enough to warrant a look, and Giffen’s goofy sense of humor is sure to make this an enjoyable read. Check out the details below.
KEITH GIFFEN RETEAMS WITH BENJAMIN ROMAN FOR THE SNARKY AUNTIE AGATHA’S HOME FOR WAYWARD RABBITS
PORTLAND, OR, 09/20/2018 — In his return to creator-owned comics, Keith Giffen (Legion of Superheroes, Justice League, Scooby Apocalypse, and co-creator of Lobo, Rocket Raccoon) teams up again with artist Benjamin Roman (I Luv Halloween, The Cryptics) for an all-new, dark humor miniseries—AUNTIE AGATHA’S HOME FOR WAYWARD RABBITS—this November.
"I'm incredibly proud to work with Keith Giffen again,” said Roman. “It's awesome to be a part of his return to Image Comics after more than 20 years. This has been a rewarding project to work on. The series has a fun dynamic group of characters we feel the audience will enjoy.”
Giffen added only: “Together again despite popular demand.”
Auntie Agatha’s Home for Wayward Rabbits is a most peculiar shelter. Within its walls, Agatha and her niece, Julie, care for damaged and dysfunctional rabbits. But now it’s in danger—from a wealthy businessman who will stop at nothing to tear it down.
Auntie Agatha’s Home for Wayward Rabbits #1 will hit comic shops and digital retailers on November 7.
