The undead come to O-Town in BOOM! Studios’ “Rocko’s Modern Afterlife”
Were a zombie apocalypse to ever occur, there are some people who would likely survive. Thanks to a combination of skills, savvy, and instinct, there are just certain types of people who could overcome even the most dire of circumstances.
Others... well, there always has to be a first victim.
If you’ve ever seen the show Rocko’s Modern Life, you can probably guess which camp those characters would fall into.
We’ll get to find out for sure this April, as BOOM! Studios launch the four issue miniseries Rocko’s Modern Afterlife. When O-Town is overrun by zombies and Heffer becomes infected, can Rocko save his best friend and his city from the undead outbreak? Even if he can’t, I’m sure hilarity will ensue.
Check out the details below.
Face the Mindless Hordes in ROCKO’S MODERN AFTERLIFE from BOOM! Studios
O-Town Overrun by Mysterious Epidemic in April 2019
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 17, 2019) – BOOM! Studios today announced ROCKO’S MODERN AFTERLIFE will be available in stores on April 3, 2019. In this four-issue limited series from writer Anthony Burch (Borderlands 2) and artist Mattia Di Meo (Adventure Time/Regular Show), everyone’s favorite wallaby, Rocko, is trying to survive the zombie outbreak that’s taken over his home of O-Town!
Too much screen time was already making O-Town’s citizens mindless, but now something is turning them into mindless zombies, and Rocko wants nothing to do with it. He barricades himself and his pup Spunky in their home, determined to outlast the hordes. But desperate times call for desperate measures when Rocko’s best friend Heffer becomes infected. Rocko will have to risk everything to save his friends and his city!
“Rocko’s Modern Life has always been laced with hilarious social commentary, but now we’re taking things up a notch by infusing that humor with a dose of the undead,” said editor Matthew Levine. “Anthony and Mattia are crafting a Rocko story like never before and one that can’t be missed.”
Rocko’s Modern Afterlife #1 will hit comic shops and digital retailers on April 3.
