The “Middlewest” train keeps rolling as issue 2 goes back to print

Skottie Young and Jorge Corona’s Middlewest is a tough read, but a good one just the same.  The fantasy drama (and allegory for domestic violence and child abuse) seems to have found its audience, as it’s been announced that the second issue is going back for another printing.  Well-deserved, to be sure, and proof of the quality of the series.  Check out the details below.

FANS FALL IN LOVE WITH MIDDLEWEST, SERIES RUSHED BACK TO PRINT

PORTLAND, Ore. 01/18/2019 — Image Comics is pleased to announce that Middlewest #2 by Eisner Award-winning and New York Times bestselling creator Skottie Young (I Hate Fairyland, Bully Wars, Deadpool) and Russ Manning Award-winning artist Jorge Corona is being rushed back to print in order to keep up with demand for the new series. The Middlewest #2, second-printing cover features gorgeous new art by Young.

The lands between the coasts are vast, slow to change, and full of hidden magics. Mistakes have been made, and in Middlewest, an unwitting adventurer searches for answers to quell a coming storm that knows his name. A blend of dark fantasy best described as classic Don Bluth animation meets Return to Oz, Middlewest is the tale of Abel, a young boy who must navigate an old land in order to reconcile his family's history.

Middlewest #2’s second printing will hit comic shops on February 13.
