Image Comics introduce us to a big story about a small hero in a first look at Ken Garing’s “Gogor” #1

Ken Garing’s upcoming fantasy series Gogor is being touted as “wonderfully weird” by Image Comics, so you know I’m already on board. It has a staff-wielding hero who rides on a mole, power struggles with an empirical ruling state, and a mythic creature that will soon wake from its underground slumber. PORTLAND, OR 02/25/2019 — Critically acclaimed creator Ken Garing (Planetoid, Planetoid: Praxis) returns to Image Comics in time to launch an all-new high fantasy series titled Gogor this May. 

The debut issues of Gogor will feature 28 pages of a wonderfully weird and fantastical story. Deep underground, among the floating islands of Altara, the mystical Gogor sleeps. But trouble brews aboveground as soldiers of the Domus impose their will across the land. Now, a young student named Armano must awaken Gogor and begin his quest to protect the culture of Altara. 

Gogor #1 will hit comic shops and digital retailers on May 1.
