David F. Walker launches new publishing company Solid Comix

Later this year, David F. Walker will launch the independent publisher Solid Comix.  In a statement on the company’s Facebook page, Walker states that he has ideas for several projects that, to him, make the most sense to be published independently.  Walker is no stranger to self-publishing, having published independent ‘zines over the years, and will use Solid Comix to publish his original stories while teaming up with a variety of different artists and creators.

Walker is currently co-writing DC Comics’ Naomi with Brian Michael Bendis, among other projects, and will continue to work with major publishers alongside his independent books.  The first book to come out of Solid Comix will be One Fall, a five-issue miniseries due this spring, which will be co-written by Ted Pirro and illustrated by Brett Weldele.  The Hated, an original graphic novel illustrated by Sean Damien Hill, will follow in the fall.

More details as we hear them.
