DC Comics debut a new logo for "Detective Comics" and give a first look at Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's "Batman: Last Knight on Earth"

Day one of WonderCon is over, and DC Comics brought plenty of Batman goodness to share. The biggest news was that, starting with issue 1001, Detective Comics will have a brand new title logo. It’s very retro, with shades of the old Batman and the Outsiders logo in there. After a few hours I can safely say I dig it, and can’t wait to see it on the title going forward.

In addition to unveiling the logo, DC also shared some preview pages from Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s Batman: Last Knight on Earth, which they’ve pitched as their last Batman story. It has a Batsuit made of a straitjacket and Joker’s head in some sort of lantern, so I think it’s safe to say that this will be a pretty straightforward story without any surprises whatsoever. Check it out below.

Stay tuned for more news from WonderCon as we hear it.
