Vault Comics announce “She Said Destroy,” a mythological tale with spaceships
Sometimes the headline says it all: Vault Comics have indeed announced the new series She Said Destroy, a mythological story that also has spaceships.
That is awesome.
The series will launch later this month, and writer Joe Corallo and artist Liana Kang will embark on a promotional tour soon, so stay tuned for more details. In the meantime, check out the plot synopsis and issue 1 gallery below.
Are you Team Morrigan or Team Brigid?
Decide quickly, because the sun-goddess Brigid's followers are ready to invade Fey and destroy the last remaining worshippers of The Morrigan, the goddess of death. But what's a little sibling rivalry between gods? It's just universal domination on the line, no big deal.
From author Joe Corrallo comes SHE SAID DESTROY, a mythological tale with a twist like you've never read before (spoilers, there are spaceships!). The feeling of magic seeps through the book with Liana Kangas' whimsical, expressive art and Rebecca Nalty's shimmering pastel colors. Melanie Ujimori's distinctive style brings energy to the lettering and draws you into the story even deeper.
Over millennia, Brigid, Goddess of the Sun, has conquered and converted the entire solar system into worshipping her and her alone, save one space colony. The witches of Fey are the last believers of The Morrigan, Goddess of Death, Brigid's sister and the only other God left. As Brigid's forces prepare for one final battle, The Morrigan prepares to do what she does best: Destroy!
She Said Destroy #1 will hit comic shops May 29.
